What's thicker in an LP bridge...CC or JB?

Okay i am gonna eventually get one of these pickups for the bridge of my les paul, and i want something really really thick and singing without going ceramic.

I was leaning towards the CC but just wanted to know which one would be thicker and darker...and by how much. Also would one be able to coax more screaming harmonics than the other?

Cheers :D

I think the Custom Custom will be thicker in the mids and have a little less treble than the JB.

The JB will have more bass and plenty of mids tho...and seem to be a little louder overall.

The JB will work nice but you could also look at the Rio BBQ which is like a thicker and richer/fuller BBQ.....believe me...I have compared the JB and BBQ side by side and in the same guitar numerous times! The Custom is also a very thick pickups but voiced differently than the BBQ.

I haven't used the CC in a long time.

I have had both in my Les Paul. I think the CC is thicker, and I like the CC a little more overall. I also have a JB prototype which has JB windings and an a2 magnet.

Well for question number one the answer is the CC. For question number 2, the JB.

But when in doubt I just always say get the CC, C5, or Custom. Then if you want to mod the sound into something, warmer, or thicker, or with better harmonics, or clearer, you just change the magnet.
