What's wrong??? (Wiring Question)

I replaced the volume pot on my strat today. I just removed everything and re-soldered it right back were it was. Now that everything is back together I find that when I touch the pole-pieces on the neck single-coil it hums like mad! If I touch the bridge and ground it out the hum is quieter but still there. All the other pickups are fine.
I've resoldered and inspected everything and all my connections seem fine. Any ideas?

First guess would be inverted ground (at jack) followed by a bad ground path somewhere- If you have really chased this to the degree that you are certain that all are clean and going exactly as they did before then I would start isolating componants to see if you overheated a pot, etc-
