What's your favorite guitar amp brand?

If you feel the need you may post what your favorite amp brand is on here and explain why you like their amps so much. Hopefully this becomes a fun and interesting topic. PLEASE respect eachothers opinions so that arguements can be avoided. Thanks.

I voted Mesa/Boogie.

Not for the regular PRS + Recto tone but for the smooth Santana tone and the crunch from songs such as MOP.

Out of the ones on the list it would be Orange, but overall my favourite is Matamp. Great custom built amps with huge warm distortion sounds.

fender, best cleans & reverb, hands down

as far as other effects, i'm too picky to settle for in-amp effects. For instance, marshall has good delay, but the distortion sounds, well, too generic, and you can't buy a bare bones marshall, so you end up paying for a lot of effects that you don't necessarily want, or like

I voted Boogie as my favorite, although in all honest, I like all those amps for different reason.

I like it for the tone.

Boogie, because there is no other amplifier out there that I've had the experience to play with that has given me the crunch that I want.

I voted for Fender, but I only like the vintage ones. As far as modern amps go, give me a Traynor.

I love Marshalls and Fenders....but Hiwatt is what I dig most!
Big and awesome cleans, sounds great with good pedals.
Built with lots of care, is a rolemodel in quality.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Peavey...The Classic 50, XXX, 5150, and the new JSX are all amazing amps.

I like the Classic 50 best, it's not fancy, but it sounds great and is one hell of a good value on the used market. Not to mention Peavey's customer service, which is by far the best in the industry.

I tend to like 5150s, marshalls etc. Voted marshall because i love the sound of a cranked one! My mate's mark series boogie is gorgeous tho, havent had much experience of it though

1. Bogner Ecstasy 101B, because there has never been, nor will there ever be, a 100W tube head that can do what it does and sound better doing it.

2. Late 60s/early 70's Point to Point Marshalls. THE BALLS!

3. Matchless Chieftain and DC-30. The best built amps on earth.
One look at the chassis, and you won't believe that humans would go to the extent they go to, to build an amp.

4. Blackface Super Reverb. This fine example happens to be a first issue 63.

5. Vox AC-30 Either Candy Panel early 60's or newer Ltd. Handwired one!

[EDITED] Add, the Hiwatt 50 and 100W......Puckboy & RID are right.....this needs to be in the top 10.

fender, then mesa boogie, then marshall(just the dsl). besides that i havent really tried many other brands because i cant find may store that hold bogner's or much else.

If we're talking most versital, does everything well....Bogner. I like Fender cleans and Marshall crunch. What did I vote? Marshall.

I'm kind of cheating, because my JCM 800 is has the clean channel modded to Fenfer BF specs, and the OD section modded to Plexi/2204 specs. It does it all!
