My personal favorites are my R7 Goldtop and my faded cherry R7 Custom, although I love all my Lesters for their own talents and abilities. I'd still like to add another R7 Custom, though. I do want a three-pickup BB since I already have a black production Custom.

My absolute dream guitar is a black LP Custom! Oh my, what a beautiful guitar! White binding and silver hardware (not gold) and a pair of duncans in it... Drool. I saw one going for €1600 2nd hand!!! But I really need a new amp first...
A supreme is nice too but way out of my league.

I like Standards and Customs. Since I own a standard I chose it. I wish they still put "Standard" on the truss rod cover to help differentiate models.

The best LP to me are the Historic ones ranging from '56 to '59.

The '56 for the P90s
The '57 Goldtop , fat neck & hummies
The '59 with its nice neck and the flammed top !

Afterward I'm not so found about the slim tapper neck !

I voted for the Gold, Silverburst, and Black Custom.

There's something about those 3 guitars that just scream quality when you put them on. I have these 3, but really want a brand new Silverburst Custom. I'd need to sell another guitar to get close to the $2500 it'll cost.

57 Historic Reissue Goldtop. Looks bone stock but is modded
for pullup tonepots, which split the nickel Custom 5/59,
also installed direct fit Schaller/Kluson copies that are firmer and have a better tuning ratio.

35th Ann. Historic Black Beauty 3 pickup w/std bridge.
Gold covered C-5/59n/59n. This guitar is Fu**in unbelievable!
Maybe the best neck I've ever played and the tone is like a brick
sh!thouse!

2001 LP Std. Prem Plus in honeburst flames. This guitar
is the one that houses the venerable Custom 4/59N in nickel.
I changed the magnet on the C-5, so the C-4 has the characteristics of the C-5 with a touch more mids. Awesome!

Now, if I could only bring myself to part with something, I could
cure my G.A.S. with that new Silverburst! I'm trying to stay strong. LOL

I love my LP Standard.

However, the Class 5 axes look great to me. Not as great as a 58 or 59 Gibby, but I think it'd be great. Realistically, a 57RI Goldtop may be in my future .

I've always wanted a silverburst.. ever since my first KISS show.

but right now I'm torn ... I love the R9's .. played a 99 yesterday and it was a wonderful guitar.

But the Bett's model killed me ... took me by surprise and I dont usually like the 57's .. but this set sounded great.

and in third is a 30th anniv. LP deluxe.
