I havent tried many sofar, but i do think the ENGL one i have is build like a tank! I havent yet had a chance to test it live...yes i feel ashamed :(

My favorite cab is a early-mid 1970s Marshall 1960B cab loaded with original G12H (30W) Celestion blackbacks. If anyone has an original 1970s cab with G12Hs, I'm looking for another one.

That'd be my fave too for loud rock...especially with the G12H30's. I like the looks of the slanted bottem but the straight front sounds a little bigger.

I never use mine tho...just to loud and heavy!

I prefer to play through a pair of Fender Deluxes with Celestion Alnico 12's or Deluxe Reverbs with Celestion G12H30's. That's loud enough and much easier to move.

I use the Marshall 1960 TV (Tall Vintage).

It's a cab sligthly taller than 1960 cabs (3/4 inches more) and it's loaded with Greenbacks.

I like those for the greenbacks tone and the taller cab brings slightly more bass !

My choice of cabs is a blend between two manufacturers:

I use a Rivera 4x12 on the top b/c it's very, very loud, very articulate, has great projection and resolution. It's also made out of very solid birch maple, and weighs a ton. The cabinet doesn't flex much when cranked, and thus you don't get much backwave from the cabinet itself in your tone.

I use an old (late 70's - early 80's) Hiwatt 4x12 for the bottom. It's an unbelievably articulate cabinet, and on it's own, it's a bit bass shy, but has a great midrange bite.

The combination of the two cabs is a very unique sound that I really enjoy!!

For live gigs, tho, I usually only bring the Rivera 4x12 for simplicity's sake.

I like the early 70's Marshall cabs, too. The Bogner is basically a copy of that cab with Vintage 30's in it. And, I have a Bogner
cane front 412 slant in a beatup roadcase for sale. Any takers?

The favourite cab I played was the Mesa Rectifier Standard 4x12". Very Modern not everyone's cup of tea i think. Palm Mute Rocks through this. Just let the E chord ring...... :P. Single note riffs come very fat.

BTW only cab i played where raising the bass knob isn't annoying me ;)
