Where are you guys getting your snazzy CAD files from?

I use home drawn 2D images I generated in TurbiCAD (cheap, 2D, easy to use, does 90% of what I need).

Interested to know where you guys got your much nicer than mine images from - pickups, pots, switches, etc.

I use Photoshop. It has vector layers with bezier curves. Can use another drawing/art/photo as a base then draw lines on top.

I use a program called NeoPaint, that I've had since the days of DOS. The company, (NeoSoftware), recently sold the program to someone else who now calls it PixelNEO. Same exact program.

The cool thing about this program is you can take the time to create a nice graphic, like a pickup or pot, and save it as a "stamp." That is, you just call it up from the library menu, and stamp it anywhere in your drawing. You don't have to recreate it every time.

One possible downside is, it doesn't create vector files. So resizing can cause artifacts.

For straightforward things I write postscript directly as a text file. Bezier curves help a lot here.

For GUI use I have Affinity Designer.
