where can I find detailed specs of vintage Fender guitars?

I was hired by a company to assemble a bunch of Teles, Strats, Jazzmasters and a few P Basses.
The owner mentioned that he wants to stay as correct as possible with colors, parts, wiring, ect.
Do any of you know where I can find a good amount of info on 50s and 60s era Fenders?
I have been looking and I have found a few places here and there, mostly forums, guitarhq.com has a decent amount...

I would really appreciate the help.

As of right now, I have a bunch of 52 Teles that have already been painted, and necks ready as well.
Im not sure what parts to use.

Thanks dudes!

How about the books by A. R. Duchossoir? That'll cover the Tele and Strats.

Early '52 Tele and Esquire would mainly be slot headed screws BUT with sporadic variations.

p.363 of The Blackguard by Nacho Baños gives a detailed list of when Philips/cross head screw begin to be phased in and for which applications.

Of significance to your work, mid 1951 is the first appearance of #5x5/8" wood screws for the control plate and the cross slotted truss rod adjuster. Late 1951 is the first appearance of #6x1" wood screws for the bridge and strap buttons. #8 neck fastening screws go cross head in early 1952.

Pickguards should be single ply Bakelite, sprayed in clear lacquer. It was common factory practice to rest the raw 'guard on top of a paint tin whilst hand guiding the spray gun. Some seriously retentive customers may expect to find the tell-tale unlacquered "ring" mark on the underside of the 'guard where the lacquer could not reach.

Sound like you're a lucky guy! Getting to handle all those old teles and what not. I've got quite a few pictures of 50's strats I have saved from all over the web if you're interested. Pics of inside the pickup cavity, how the pickguard is wired, necks, trem routes etc. I've got a few of teles to I think. Sorry since this is a little OT but do you live in Oregon? I noticed on your site the area code on your phone number is 541 which is an Oregon area code. I'm in central Oregon myself.

Try searching for PDF files a lot of blueprints and CAD drawings get archived in that format.

"Fender Guitar Blueprints filetype:pdf" you will find a bit of blue prints that way.
