Where can I find gold-colored *plastic* humbucker pickup covers?

Where can I find gold-colored *plastic* humbucker pickup covers? Does anyone make any? The only hit I found on the internet was this mystery brand at AliExpress and the pictures in this listing look like metal, not plastic.

I am interested in non-metal covers so I don't lose any treble, and I need gold color to match the rest of the hardware.

I'd prefer a cover without holes for pole pieces, but would settle for one that does if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

IMO Plastic would cause more treble loss than metal in fact it would kill tone there is a reason why they are restricted only to covers.

I have seen gold covers (on already-made pickups) made out of metal, but never any gold painted plastic covers. You could always make them yourself, I suppose.

Plastic covers tend to be thicker than metal......so you would find your tone altered possibly due to not being able to run them at the same height.

Get some good quality gold ones.....if you choose wisely the difference won't be huge and you can always tweak the polepieces higher.

Despite the insistence in post #2, plastic does not interfere with a magnetic field, so the only difference would be due to any additional height constraint as AlexR pointed out.

I have plastic covers on my P-Rails and Pearly Gates there is no difference in tone what-so-ever.

Sorry Jocelyn, what you're saying just couldn't be farther away from reality.

Those AliExpress ones do look like your run of the mill metal ones, but who knows. How would these/any plastic covers be attached to the rest of the pickup?

As I don't think there are any gold plastic covers, that's you best bet for NO treble losing:

The ones on Aliexpress are tone murderers. I wouldn't touch'em with a 10-foot pole.

The Duncan Gold covers are transparent-sounding. I've been using'em for years and couldn't be happier with the tone.
