Where to put valvulator in effects chain

Hi all,

So I just snagged a valvulator off ebay, cheap.

Where should I put it in the FX chain? It is supposed to be first, but would this take away from a high-output pup into the first OD or distortion pedal? It seems that I might want to put them after OD pedals, and even potentially the compressor.
