Hey guys this is my first post here. I've mostly been a lurker up untill this point. You guys run a great fourm!
Well I'm finally in a financial position to look at getting a new bridge pup. The guitar it is going in is an Ibanez Sz320. It's all mahogony with a rosewood fretboard. Despite the materials it's made of it's a fairly bright guitar which is pretty odd I think.
As far as tone goes I'm looking for something that can do a good metal sound and a good medium gain rock sound. For specifics, I really like Lamb of God's sound, it's heavy but clear and organic at the same time. I am also a fan of Fall Out Boy's tone. I know I know, Fall Out Boy, but I really like their tone. I'd like something that can do metal but still be organic and have a good lighter gain crunch. Smooth highs as well, the stock pups in my Ibanez have very harsh highs. The reason I made this post is because the only SD pickup I have experience with is the JB which sounded good but I felt was lacking some of the tightness and low end I'd like. Any help would greatly appreciated guys!
