I got some Fishman Modern's for my Ibanez RG and can't figure out the best components to get the most out of them.
End goal is to be able to split the coil on the neck, select between the two different voices on both pickups.
My guitar has two stock holes for a volume pot and a killswitch. My current thought is to drop in a 5 way selector to switch from hum neck>split neck>neck/bridge> split bridge> bridge. Then have two EMG 25k push pulls that control volume for pickups and voicing independently.
I've been searching the internets for parts and this seems to be the cleanest way to make my goals work. However, I am stupid and may be missing something. I'd appreciate some input before buying parts and being reminded that I am as dumb as I think I am. Thanks in advance!
