Which Duncan single coils sound similiar to Fender Custom shop Fat 50's?

Currently have a 70's Fender Strat (MIM) with maple fingerboard and installed the Fat 50's. Was not to hyped about them until last night's jam session...Wow!!!!!! Got some compliments on the sound as well through a crappy solid state 1 x 12 combo. I had previously thought they were kinda thin sounding. I might try the quarter pound APS single coils.

I had ordered a twangbanger and APS single coil (flats) for replacement, but i might keep the Fat 50's in. Anyone else compared these pups before or recommend something else.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I'll defer to Lew and others, but I think they'd say the Surfers.

No, the SD ~Surfers~ don't sound too much like the Fat '50s. I use both currently, and they are a bit noticeably different. I'll definitely add that both sets are very good with distinct charactistics apart. I've used the SSL-1 Vintage Staggered p-ups in the past, and though the Fat '50s are a slightly overwound pickup the SSL-1 single coils will most likely be your closest match. Sweet & Glassy response, + great bell tone to boot.

The Fat 50s are stronger in output and have more mids than the Surfers,as I use both...I Love the Fat 50 neck and middle and they have their own tone.

Thanks, guys!

I've already received the APS-2 for neck & middle and a twangbanger for the bridge. Hope it turns out OK, as the strat is very bright.
