Which Duncan True Single Coil For High Output + Fast Pick Response?

I'm looking to swap the V70 neck pickup of my Suhr for a higher output pickup that has good pick tracking and higher output. It has to be kind of bright and cutting as I do not like neck pickups that sound too bassy or dark. The Quarter Pound looks like a great pickup, but I'm not sure. What do you recommend?

the physical location of the neck pup leads it to be be darker sounding than the other positions. high output tends to lead to a darker sounding pup as well. the qp sounds dark in the neck to me

I understand those factors, but there are a lot of pickups that don't sound too dark in the neck position. The Lindy Fralin Blues special is one that comes to mind as well as a few Bareknuckle single-coils. Which Duncan would put me in that range?

i like those fralins a lot but i dont think they are very hot, similar to an ssl2.

Yep, you're right. I should use the Fralin. It's not really hot, but it has better output than the pickup that's in there now. Thanks for the input.

I love the QP but it's super fat. I agree with jeremy- I wouldn't recommend it for neck position either, except perhaps in a very bright-natured guitar paired with a darkish high-output humbucker at the bridge.
