The title pretty much says it all. Which one of these would you choose of it were going to be your only guitar.
2015 les paul junior
used gibson V
music man axis
music man reflex
the only one I can go actually try is the lp junior. I tried one a week ago the only thing I am not completely sold on Is the wider neck. I like the adjustable nut the g force can be replaced. So thats no big deal.
I can not find anywhere around me to try the V or the music mans. Style of musoc doesn't matter to me. I usually change enough stuff to get the sound i am after.
but i do play everything from pink floyd to zz top to mastodon style music.

Gravitating towards V and the Axis, but there are different kinds of each that I would prefer over the other, know what I'm saying?
I would have to go with the Axis for its extra comfort points compared to the V, even though though I do think the V looks cooler.

Another note for V, depending on condition.

The EBMM Axis is one fine guitar!! I have had two and loved them. All EBMM guitars are built extremely well....the only downside is they have Dimar#*o pickups. However these do sound pretty darn good!! Very versatile guitars.

Re: which guitar would you choose

I'm a V lover, but I'd vote for the Axis as an only guitar. This coming from a guy that had a Les Paul Std. as an only guitar for a few years.

Re: which guitar would you choose

The Axis has a very narrow neck. Do not buy without trying.

The V's shape throws off the positions of both left and right hand, and it is awkward to play sitting. Do not buy without trying.

I could never have a V as an only guitar. Does the Jr have to be a single pickup or can it be a double pickup one? If so, the junior with antiquity P90s would be killer! (Even a single Antiquity P90 would be killer)

After years of having a V as my only electric I would not want to be, back in the same place.

I would lean towards the Axis with the LP jr close on heels

Re: which guitar would you choose

I made my choice and picked it up as soon as I get home expect a ngd thread. Thanks for the advice guys.

Re: which guitar would you choose

Late to the party, but my Reflex is my go to guitar for everything. Versatile, powerful, and perfect across the whole neck -compensated nut helps here. I have the hard-tail, as I don't use trem very much, so don't need one on every guitar. If you're a dive-bomber, then the Axis may be closer to your needs (though I hear rave reviews of the 2-point MM trem).

Re: which guitar would you choose

I have an Axis with the 2-point trem. Very good guitar. Cannot recommend to buy blind because of the extremely narrow nut.
