Which is beefier - Tele Quater Pound or BF 1400 Gibbons stacked custom shop ?

I actually have both in my parts drawer, but have never used either. Looking to put one into an ash partsocaster Tele that currently has a Zhangbucker Super Paul Bunyan. The Zhang is a mighty pickup in it's own right, but there's an annoying mid thing going on I can't dial out. I don't know if its the pickup, or the guitar, but I figured I'd try a different pickup before flipping it. Looking for fat, aggressive, almost P90-ish.

The Quarter Pound Tele's output is more in P90-land, and the mids are actually slightly scooped. So it probably won't have a 'mids problem' unless you have an especially mid-heavy guitar.

Cool thanks, that's the one I'm leaning towards.

What bridge does the Partscaster have?

I totally agree with this statement.

I'm actually throwing an EMG-T set in it today, forgot I had that laying around. Have the Quarter Pound and a GFS Fatbody (neck) on standby.

I briefly had EMG-T pickups in a Fender Am Std ash/maple Telecaster. Fine pickups but not really a Telecaster sound any more.

The EMG-RT is their SA assembly in a Tele pickup housing. It never really grunts and grinds as a Tele should. The EMG-FT is a great little pickup.

If you had said Esquire to begin with, I would have suggested the SD Custom Shop '53 Tapped Tele Lead pickup.
