which is louder and wider sound?

i planned to install SD Pegasus or 59/custom hybrid or Dmz CrunchLab or Evolution, which is louder...? and more wider bandwidth?
need ur help guys, please....my guitar is ibby basswood/quilted mapple, maple/wallnut neck, rosewood board
i play prog metal, heavy metal, trhash, methcore

Re: which is louder and wider sound?

The Crunch Lab is very low-mid focused. I wouldn't call it a "wide"-sounding pickup, personally.

Out of those, it or the Evolution are the loudest.

Re: which is louder and wider sound?

a wide sounding pickup would be the Dimarzio Steve's Special or the Tom Anderson H3. They are high output but instead of focusing on mids, they spread across the frequency spectrum.

A "louder" sounding pickup usually means it has a strong focus on the higher-mid frequencies. Of the ones you mentioned, the Evolution would be the "loudest" sounding

Re: which is louder and wider sound?

if you want something wide and loud then get a wilde L500XL which is probably around twice as loud and wider freq spectrum than any of those

also you can consider a lace deathbucker, which is also really wide freq spread with a gnarly crunchy clear and super defined tone yet so infernally hot perfectly handle a duncan dimebucker (hottest standar production duncan pickup) on the neck slot

Sorry, so "focusing mid" meant more mid or scoop mid?

I'll do that for my next guitar, thx guys

Actually i will put one of those pup on neck slot, i install Dmz D Activator on the bridge position, so i think i will take Pegasus bcus it was medium output and D Act is high output, so I worry about the neck will over the bridge, wht u think about my thought?

Sorry bad English

Re: which is louder and wider sound?

focused mids is more mids but concentrated on a range, like focused low mids means the pickup mids are stronger near the lower end of the spectrum

Re: which is louder and wider sound?

You should be fine with the Pegasus in the neck there. I've heard of many people doing just that, and they seem to like it.
