Which Looper Pedal?

Hi Guys. I'm looking for a looper pedal. I want something I can play a rhythm track on, then have it play it back so I can practice leads, riffs & runs over the top. I probably would never use the loop function in a gig, but it may be great for practice. I saw the TC electronics Flashback x 4, which appeals to me as it has all those nice delays which I may actually use in a gig. Anyone used this or have suggestions for a looper pedal?

Re: Which Looper Pedal?

TC Electronic just released the Ditto Looper which has a real small footprint, but not many features.

I personally use a Digitech JamMan Stereo which is probably overkill for what I actually use it for, which is pretty much the same thing you mentioned. The nice part about the JamMan is I can save patches and come back to them later. When I come up with a song idea I'll record it to a patch and then come up with different parts and revisit it next time I fire it up.

Yep, I was going to recommend waiting for the Ditto. It should do exactly what you're wanting, and that's exactly what I'll be getting one for.

If you want to save rhythm tracks, and want many drum tracks to play on top of, look for the new Digitech Jamman SoloXT which will include that. It seems like the best, smallest, 'practice' looper out there (including the new Ditto).
