I still couldn't decide which od/dist to get because they're unavailable here and I can't directly test them...I really need your help guys, currently I'm using Line6 DM-4 stompbox into a 79' twin reverb using a dynacomp for boosting DM-4,I can get warm&full OD tones so no problem there...I just want a good quality pedal that gets me a mix of OD&Dist...I wonder if I should get a pedal with a real preamp tube in it if it makes a huge difference than IC ones?my playing style is mainly (hard)rock&blues...I'm not much into metal etc...but I'd like to get metallica & guns'n'roses tones...so which one could suit me best???

I can't tell you anything about the others, but I love my Hot British. It does exactly what is said on their web site. And it works well with both single coils and humbuckers.

Re: which od/dist pedal sounds the best???

The Fulldrive is a tried and true pedal for nailing blues and some rock tones. For hard rock, it's hard to find something better than the Hot British (I felt the Classic did a great job through a perfectly clean amp and I'm sure the HB isn't much different).

You really need to balance what you're going to be doing more of. For classic rock and blues, the Fulldrive would do wonders. For high gain, the Hot British is one of the best pedals out there for it.

well hot british seems to be a good choice, but I really don't want a distortion sound without definition and fullness,as with the replies and other post I think hot british is of great quality and sounding...but also I think of fulldrive 2 and barber direct drive...I've heard very good things about them also so I'm a bit complicated here...I wish I could test and compare them side by side ;(
