Which two pickups would you choose for the middle and neck position of a strat for a vintage sound and why?

Classic stack middle. Hot stack neck. Both are sweet. I love the fat glassy sound or the hot stack in a strat neck. The classic stack will be a nice compliment for combining pickups and getting a classic sound that's not over the top.
I suggest stacks to anyone that gigs regularly, where you often play with cruddy power systems in bars and such :D I don't like the noise.

APS-2.

WHY? The SSL-1 would be overpowered by most bridge humbuckers.

The APS-2 is stronger, thicker and chunkier sounding than the SSL-1, but still has a classic Strat chime and jangley tone for rythym.
