Which pots to use with SPB-3?

Hi, I'm new to this forum so sorry if this is a stupid question. I am re-wiring a standard P-Bass with an SPB-3 Quarter Pound pickup. The bass originally had 250k volume & tone pots wired, however I have read that 500k pots are supposed to work better with Humbucking pickups. Which ones should I use? Is there really that much of a difference? Thanks for any help you all can give me.

Stick with the 250K ..... While the P-BAss pickup is dual coil and hum cancelling it is typically used with 250K pots.
