is most like its big brother?
Duncan JB jr
Duncan lil 59
Ducnan lil screamin demon
Dimarzio Super Distortion S DP218

What I am looking for is the most real humbucker sounding strat sized bridge pickup. I have tried the JBjr and to my ears didn't sound half as good as the real deal in the same strat. any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Really I think the naming on the single coil sized humbuckers is a bad idea. While I realize why they did it they automatically create an association where people want 1 to duplicate the other and people dont stop to analyze the tone of a pickup on its own merits only how it relates to its namesake.

If your after humbucker like tones in a single coil sized slot my 2 choices would be either Dimarzio FS2 or Riogrande Rail Gunner. Yes I realize they dont have a matching full humbucker size version but your after the sound not the name right? Ive gotten killer sounds of both those pickups

+1 on the naming schemes.

In my opinion, it would be wisest to disregard the names and concentrate on defining the dynamic and tonal qualities that you desire.

Finally, it would help to know which the body, neck and fingerboard woods on your Strat, the bridge type and, perhaps, even the machinehead design. (Kluson, Schjaller, Sperzel, other.)

Alder Body, maple neck, Wilkinson trem. Just a standard american strat ( early 90s) only upgrade is trem and pickups.
