Which Soloist guitar?!?

I am still gassing for a soloist guitar and still havent gotten one yet. Right now I am torn between 3 guitars,:the ESP LTD MH-400NT, the Jackson DKMGT, and an Ibanez S1625. Can anyone help me and gives me some pros and cons for each. I really would like EMGs and a non tremolo, but i love the body on the ibanez. Can any one help?!?

Well, sounds like the Jackson is kinda out of the picture? Since its a tossup between LTD (EMGs and No Trem) and the Ibanez.

Personally, the LTD I believe make very very good quality guitars for the price, and with Ibanez, its just a pretty standard thing really.

The tone and playability of the LTD is obviously your preference (as you've outlined). IMO you should be happy with the look of the guitar but never ever to the point where your playing is compromised resulting from features/lack of features.

I'd go for the LTD.

Pros:

ltd: It comes with the best pickups on the planet. Has neck thru body and tunamatic bridge. has a maple top for aestetics.

jackson: Tunamatic bridge and is bolt on unless they changed it.

Ibanez: Comfortable slim body an pretty cool inlay, I have the same neck on my ibanez and i love the single inlay.

Cons:

FIRST OFF: All of these guitars if they have a flame/quilt top and you order online or out of a catalog, you could get a guitar with a crappy top. Gibson does this.

ltd: Made by gooks? I dunno I am in favor of this guitar man, you might not like it because of the EMG81's and if you want passives you will have to rewire the whole thing.
jackson: the Headstock painting of the logo looks cheapo. cheapo EMGhz pickups. inlays could be an acquired taste.
ibanez: Exclusive hardware, which is resistant to aftermarket hardware. Stock pickups suck ass. Floyd will give you many enjoyable minutes of string changing hell and will probably not have the use for a floyd anyways.

I would get that ltd man, I wouldn't mind one myself. EMG81 kicks major ass!

Yea, I'm kind of leaning towards the LTD. I was considering the Ibanez because I am going to use this guitar to play metal-core type music such as Between The Buried and Me, and their guitar player play an Ibanez S series and I like the body of them alot. But as for features and price, I think that the LTD is the best choice.

Dude- they are pretty similar guitars! The Jackson features crappy EMG-HZ's and that goofy TurboCharger thing. That's why I say LTD! I've yet to see a bad flame top on ANY ESP/LTD. You'll get better tone with the LTD also- it features the Les Paul woods- mahogany body and maple top. One question- does it really have a locking nut? I've never seen one on a non-trem guitar before! One thing- I'm a sucker for a reversed headstock! And those mini piranha teeth look pretty cool too! Sorry if this confuses you even more...

That picture leads me to another question, does that model come in different colors than that black color? Because all i see on the website is the black.

The ESP website lists black as the only color option. Guess they figure mostly death metal/goths will buy this guitar! Hey- I have 5 all or partially black guitars! I didn't see the lock nut on their website- looks like a one-off or a prototype.

What I don't understand, is that the guitar player for Dillinger Escape Plan plays the MH-400NT and he has one in a greenish color, and it's not the blue color thats offered on the one with the Floyd.

C'mon Bones. "Made by gooks" ? I don't think comments like that are necessary, bro. I do agree that the Ibanez stock pickups suck. The trem on the S-series has gotten much better. THe ZR trem can be made to be floating or down only and it doesn't go out ot tune when you break a string when in down only mode.

I prefer jackson, but its pretty hard to fault one of those ltd's too...tough call...id probably go a really nice jackson.
