which strat pickup for nashville

well, its alder, rosewood board, right now there's a hot rail in the bridge

for the middle pickup (strat pickup) I'm wanting something that'll get some social distortion lead tones (p-90 loaded lp)

so what pickup could do this? I assume a no load tone pot would help give it a more bridgy kinda bite, but basically the output needs to be right there in the middle, from 8k to maybe 11k, real smooth sounding, with just a tiny bit of sizzle to it

perhaps odd, but i think i might suggest a Twangbanger here......its a little middier and stronger than other strat pickups, so its sort of P90ish in a way

the little '59 nails that. I had it in one of my guitars and it reminded me a raunchy sizzle p-90 sound under gain.

Or a Lindy Fralin Steel Pole, they are modeled after P90s but are strat pickups, that may work for you pretty well? I might be selling mine soon.

keep me updated about that, i've heard lindy p-90's and they're really nice

little '59 is a good idea too, though.

anyone care to cast a vote on one or the other?

I'd like a usable middle position between the 2, and the adjustable pole pieces on the little 59 are pretty enticing, but the hot rail is quite a bit hotter than the little '59, and i don't want that weird wah ish kinda middle position, would i get that with the '59 and hot rails?

thanks for the offer, but that doesn't quite sound like what i'm after

that sounds more like just a hotter version of what was in there stock, and the stock one was nowhere near p-90ish, and quacked too much

you could always route the fool and put a P90 in there. That would look sweet. Hell do a humbucker route and use a Phat Cat just so you can do crazy stuff later on. Of course i'd only do that if the pickguard could possibly hide the route if i changed my mind....haha but i don't know how heavily you wanna mod that thing.
