My BIL passed away recently and left me this guitar-9D04EFE7-4530-495B-A608-5A566F52EB80.jpg It was in pretty sad shape but still had the protective film on the pickups and pick guard

Thanks brother may you Rest In Peace.

That's very cool. Slap his name on a sticker behind the bridge, SRV style. That would look cool on there.

I didn't inherit my Martin D-28 but I bought it with my share of my Uncle's estate after he passed away 16 years ago. That guitar is 15 now and sounds better than when I bought it and I think of him every time I pick it up.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Cool axe. You can call his spirit any time you play it.

Re: White Squier HH HT

Wow...that guitar looks great after a real good cleaning by the looks of it. I wonder why holes were drilled in the back of the bridge plate so the strings could be top-loaded?

It is not a through body and the holes in the bridge are very precise. From what I can gather there just weren’t many of these made.
It was made in Indonesia, 2010.

My 2005 Squier '51 has the very same top-loader hardtail bridge. As far as I know it was pretty rarely used on a regular Strat like this one.

Me too. (Artie - Too.) :)

I also have a white Squier, but mine is conventional, with tremolo. It's got 3 of the Duncan Designed Hotrails. HR101's, I think. Sweet axe, but I'd love to have a hardtail.

Just noticed, you're close to my neighborhood too.

Re: White Squier HH HT

I LOVE white Strats and that one looks pretty fine indeed.

I have a '57 50 year commemorative finished in Mary Kaye transparent white. It is a truly amazing guitar, but I never play it. It stays locked up in a display case. But I have several other really great Strats that I love to play.

About 250 miles to the west from you.

At first I thought I would keep it stock but the tuners are atrocious. They have got to go!
