Hello, fellow forumites,

Does any seller you know provide white trembucker pickup rings? I'm modding a guitar and can't find anything!

Thanks in advance!

White-white, crisp printer paper white?

Don't see a lot of that, in any size

Re: White trembucker pickup ring

I found some on Amazon on my first attempt at a Google search on behalf of the OP (although not sure which white i.e. they’re just white!!! LOL!!!). Also Allparts. Some on eBay too (if you’re into that type of thing).

Was asking for which pickup in particular so as to be able to measure. This is a bit of a grey area this Trembucker / F-spaced stuff. The pickup rings on my Jacksons for example will take both no problem. But some say to be careful as Trembucker is wider than F-spaced. Others say no need to worry as both will fit in standard pickup rings. Yet others say that SD supplies pickup rings with Trembuckers. See my point??? Better to measure.

Re: White trembucker pickup ring

Trembuckers are wider than F Spaced. F spaced the poles are moved but bobbins are same (or similar) sized. Trembuckers have wider bobbins AND poles are moved.

Thing is, I thought Trembuckers still fit in regular sized pickup rings.

For white rings, I get DiMarzio's on ebay. Like $7 or so (at least they were).

Re: White trembucker pickup ring

ive had to modify some rings to get trembuckers to fit and some fit just fine. must be slightly different sizes out there. i havent seen a white trembucker ring like the black one they give you in the box but they might be out there?

That’s what I thought (think???) too. Problem is there are a number of (old???) threads around here where this is discussed and apparently not so i.e. apparently not always. Dunno.

Just remembered something though: I got a SD Trembucker in my Blaze with a standard spaced middle pickup. Both rings are identical. And both are identical to the pickup rings on my Jacksons. All carefully measured with a digital caliper.

As for F-spaced vs. Trembucker spacing: learned the hard way that F-spaced is NOT correct spacing for Floyds. At least not with my guitars (have stock Jackson licensed FR’s, had FR Special, and have OFR on my Blaze). Trembuckers are perfectly spaced. Apparently the term “F-spaced” came from “Fender” spaced (as opposed to Gibson spaced) AND from “Floyd” spaced. Me: I’m not so sure about the “Floyd” spaced part. I think this just got “assumed” somewhere along the way and just stuck from there.

As for these white pickup rings: they’re cheap enough to just order and try let’s face it (about the same $$$ for two that I wasted on those ridiculous LITTLE “Stubby” picks last week !!! LOL!!!).

Yeh. This is pretty much in line with what I’ve found on the other threads.

Suppose I could be more helpful and just measure my pickup rings and then check out the white ones that I found.

One issue that appears to be rather common is the different spacing for the mounting screws though. So there is that too.
