Whitesnake - Crying In The Rain (test)

Re: Whitesnake - Crying In The Rain (test)

Here's a mostly tighter version with better solo ("first we build to it..." haha).

I'll probably leave it as is and move on to something else.

LLL - CITR Test 2

Sweeet! :yourock:

My only criticism is the kick drum seems too loud.

Nice tone and playing though. What gear did you play for that?

Re: Whitesnake - Crying In The Rain (test)

Thx - since I don't have a Mesa Boogie MkIII Coliseum, I used the closest I could get:

Positive Grid's BIAS's Mesa Boogie MkIIc+ model

Guitar was Carvin DC150 w/ SD SH-5

Sounds awesome....& the solo killed man :)

..kick's definately quite a bit too loud though...

Wow that was pretty decent man, The solo was rad.

Still i don't think you're in a position to tell other people they need to practice.....just saying. :9:

I have Bias, as well. Would you mind sharing the preset for that song on their Tone Cloud?

Surprisingly, I didn't have to do anything in BIAS to get the tone I got besides adjust the amp's front knobs.

Front panel (with visual customization of the MkIIc+):

Speaker section (default BIAS settings for the MkIIc+):

In the DAW, I did a Waves Doubler and a cheapy reverb for each side (L & R). The rhythm guitar is manually doubled (recorded once for the L channel, recorded again for the R channel). Zero EQ.

The solo is the same amp settings but I boosted 500Hz & 2.5KHz +3dB to help it stick out a little.
