Hey, I can't recall but is the EMG 81TW splittable? That was my main interest in the EMG 89.
How do these threads disappear though. I know I'm not going crazy as I remember a white EMG 89 and someone was asking what model it was since the quick connect cable was covering the model number and someone chimed in it was an 89 based on the orange logo. Where is that thread and how/why did it disappear within a couple of hours of when I posted this thread?

yes it is. I'd have liked to have gotten my hands on one back when I had an 89 in the bridge and a regular 81 in the neck. an 89 and an 81TW would make an awesome set.

It is splittable, yeah; I've got another guy who has the original 81TW that fit in my guitar (it's a deep pickup, apparently changed size at one point and got deeper). If he doesn't want to do a straight-trade then it's yours.
