When someone mentions Fender clones, I think of Victoria.
TheGearPage.net is a great site but those a lot guys are into the really high-end stuff. There are folks there who think of my Rivera and Soldano as relatively pedestrian gear.
I had a 70's Univox that was a shameless knockoff of a Fender Bandmaster.
I wish I held on to it. :smack: It sounded good, But looked horrable
Sitting on my marshall 2x12 cab. It was blue tolex w/t red trim
very 70's gordy. :13: I guess tone is like food? The better it looks
the better you think it taste's? If it looks nasty you won't eat it.
But it may taste great? I don't know?? Just my take on it. :laugh2:
Some names that come to mind are TopHat, Victoria, Carr and Fargen. All boutique amps that do the vintage Fender thing as good if not better in some cases.
