This is the "lawsuit" ESP/LTD Explorer (EXP-200) I bought to use as a project guitar. But the Destroyer basically is everything I wanted to do to this ESP, so off it goes. FYI, I saw a black one of these go for over $500 with EMGS and no case a few days prior to me winning this one as they are getting very rare (and honestly are really nice guitars for the $, I've found out)

Here's the specs:

I believe its a 1999 model based on the serial #. And Made in korea (though it does not say where it was made. But the bridge looks like a typical Korean TOM). Too nice for Chinese or Indonesian build. Darn near MIJ quality.

I'm fairly certain but not 100% sure, it's mahogany bodied based on what little I could seein the control cavity. It certainly sounds like mahogany. If not, it's one fat sounding piece of alder/agathis/whatever.

Its got a 22 fret maple bolt on neck (24.75" scale). Rosewood board (nice thick slab).

Duncan designed JB and Jazz. I vol, 1 tone, 3 way switch: all the electronics work fine.

This thing is built like a tank, and sounds that way too. Nice pulsing resonance at the neck joint like a good explorer should have, and loud acoustically. Cosmetically it's in really great shape. Not perfect, but really good. The two pickup rings are cracked, but it doesn't affect anything other than aesthetics. Frets have plenty of life left in 'em. Guy I got it off of hardly played it I'd say. The finish is kind of matte/satin and the neck is super fast unlike regular glossy poly or nitro. Neck is chunky but not a baseball bat. I believe its what ESP calls a "thin U", but I would not say it's thin. Nor thick...just medium

Plays nice, sounds good as is, and with some new pups, it oughta be a real screamer/chugger. It comes with some worn, but still functional Dunlop Strap-loks, the original strap that came with it (whoopty do!), AND the hardshell ESP/LTD case that you see in the pics.

$350 shipped in the lower 48.

Re: Who wants to buy this?

They are medium I'd say...a little wide..not terribly tall. Not as small/low as those on my MIC Hamer or MIK Deans, but not immensely bigger either.

Def not like the Jumbos on the Destroyer, or the Railroad tracks on my USA ML.

and a  @ JB. You get through everything yet? :D

Re: Who wants to buy this?
