Re: Who's played Jay Turser, Dillion, or Agile?

My first guitar was a jay turser strat copy.....lasted......2 weeks then its broke.....frets were sharpa nd cut my hands...fret buzz was unfixaxble......pick ups were trash.....the buttons fell off......did i mention the strap buttonr ipped out complletly?......afetr two weks of owning it i bought my fender strat MIM and loved it since....lessons...jay turser= crap......save up and buy a better axe you wil be much happier......if you want a good gibson clone go with epiphones!!!!! the specs are fairly close just lower grade versions, not bad with a change of some hardware you can get ytourself a rocking axe

It was totally a personal preference. The neck shape was better to my hands and it felt faster.

I played the Jay Turser SG-Copy and I was pretty impressed.

It seemed like a pretty solid guitar and worth the asking price.
Initially I was pretty blown away that such a cheap guitar sounded so good to mine own ears, but that wore off when I played a few other guitars (Tremonti SE, Idol Quilt Top, MIM 60s Tele).
I'd buy one just to beat the crap out of or turn into some kind of Frankenstein's monster.

I have heard almost nothing but praises for the Agiles.

I have the Agile DC LP and it is very playable. Nice neck, good fret work and great acoustic sustain. The stock pups are not horrible, but I of course changed them out for a C5/Jazz combo. The tuners are pretty good and it stays in tune very well after I cleaned up the nut a bit. I couldn't be happier with it and to top it off, it really looks sharp!

This is my situation RIGHT DOWN to the pickup combo, sounds GREAT plays awesome and man is she a looker. the pictures on the site dont do justice at all

The Agiles kick a$$ no doubt about it. Great guitar and you dont feel bad when you put a ding through the finish on it (or at least I didn't).

I agree with this. Of course the $450 price range will be better than the
$300 price range, but I've been pretty impressed with the Korean PRS
SE's, Santana, and Tremonti's, as well as the Washburn stuff.
I think I'd still opt for American Fenders, even tho a lot of the Japanese and MIM one's are nice.

I'm thinking about getting a Agile LP 2500 double cut. How bad is the stock nut? I can do set up myself, but I'm not experienced with nut work.
