WHY AM I GETTING MICROPHOnIC FEEDBACK?

I just installed my hybrid into an AX4O. At a moderate/high gain level it gets feedback- microphonic, like b string 12th fret harmonic pitch wise.

Is this possibly a side effect of mismatched coils, or does it mean only one coil is working? It doesnt hum , just whistling feedback...

THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE!!!

Did you put a cover on it?

If not, did you tighten the bobbin screws enough (or overtighten)? If there's a small gap, they will vibrate I'm sure. (I'm assuming you made the hybrid yourself).

Did you hit it with some heat from a hairdryer to reset the wax?

Yeah, you gotta make sure everything is snug in there, not too tight, or you can strip the bobbins, but snug. The hairdryer works pretty well too, I just don't usually find it necessary, plus, I have my own pot. If I've got a pickup that looks to me like it needs it I give it a dip.
