Why no Telecaster 62 style Custom

Fender have so many different guitars to choosethese days all at various price points which is great but why is there no double binded Custom! not even a 62 custom reissue (outside MIJ). I get that country guys prefer the 50s look but seriously a double binded telecaster with modern neck profile would be so awesome. I have two partscasters and they are both traditional looking, unless you get premium custom made from Warmoth you cant get this in the parts market either (the coolest Ive seen is allparts paisley and blue flower bodies). Any thoughts?
On a side note it is awesome that their offset guitars are now available in a modern US version as well as of course the Kurt Cobain and Johnny Marr models which both somewhat improve versatility albeit in different directions.

Fender gets simultaneously bashed for too great a product line (from those who get confused by choice) and not enough (from those who don't).

If the logo on the headstock doesn't bother you too much you can get a Squier classic vibe telecaster custom with the double bound body.

I wondered the same thing a few years ago when I was wanting a double bound Telecaster. I ended up getting an ESP Vintage Plus Tele from the mid 90s. It's a fantastic guitar, and I'd put it up against any super high dollar Fender.

Give Fender a year or 2, they will come out with a version. Or, just alter a current one to your specs.

You can order a double or even a triple-bound ASAT model from G&L. In any of their multitude of colors; in any of their pickup configurations; with a maple, RW or ebony fingerboard; in any one of several neck widths, profile and radii.

G&L is the company Leo Fender started after he sold FMIC to CBS. The ASAT is Leo's upgraded Telecaster. Arguably, a more "Fender" guitar than the current Fender offerings.

I wondered the same thing a few years ago when I was wanting a double bound Telecaster. I ended up getting an ESP Vintage Plus Tele from the mid 90s. It's a fantastic guitar, and I'd put it up against any super high dollar Fender.

That ESP looks gorgeous, really look the transparent blue finish.

If the logo on the headstock doesn't bother you too much you can get a Squier classic vibe telecaster custom with the double bound body.

I have nothing against Squier infact I own a Squier Jaguar and I played a classic vibe 70s stratocaster once and it was one of the best strats Ive ever played (granted the music shop had set it up very well).

Still weird they don't offer a Fender model when Squier has one. My brother has had a CIJ for about 10 years and its a great tele (especially once we chucked out the electronics and put Anqtiquities in it).

Those are fantastic guitars. Back then, I had a Ron Wood Model and a Vintage Plus Strat and I would give just about anything to have them back.
