Why still no Bass Forum

Re: Why still no Bass Forum

There's at least one thread per week about this, yet nobody ever asks bass questions. They just ask about a bass room. Instead of just going about it on yalls own, it probably would have been a good idea to at least ask some moderators what their opinion on the matter was.

Re: Why still no Bass Forum

Bring 100 of your bassist friends along and you might have a case. No point having a home page with loads of rooms if half of them are only gonna be used by the 3 or 4 bassists we have here.

I have to agree with Mattt and Jolly.

I play bass and guitar. I attempt to answer bass-related questions when they appear. I rarely post any questions of my own because nobody out there seems to know anything that I haven't already figured out for myself.

In a similarly titled thread on this topic, I have posted my opinion that bass guitarists are nowhere near as obsessed with changing pickups or their internal components. Many bass guitars come with onboard acive EQ. Need a different tone for today's gig/session/jam? Adjust the EQ pots a little bit. Job done.

Obviously, the subject is a wee bit more complicated than this but we don't want this posting turning into a thesis length rant, do we? :D

Re: Why still no Bass Forum

We discussed the idea of having a Bass Room, and felt that we had enough rooms as it is, and there probably wouldn't be enough threads started to justify another room.

No disrespect, all I ask is that maybe you guys will consider a Bass room down the road. I think there is a few rooms that can go that are not used at all. I think it would bring in more members and more knowlege to the forums.

If you ask 100 guitar players I sure there won't be any takers on a bass room, And I'm sure if we asked bass questions, then it would be threads about why we are tieing up the guitar room. So there really is no winning on the topic. i agree we should have ask the moderators first I was hoping to get members thinking first.
