Unfortunately, LESTER hasn't been around in a full week...
He supposedly sent me the JB for our trade back on the 9th, but I haven't received it yet. I had some tubes sent to me from Maine on the 12th, and have already received them. Somethings fishy...

Grabbed it.
Now I just have to find an old Distortion Neck and a guitar to put them in...

That's good to know. I suddenly got worried that you were gonna whoop me one good for swiping that DDJ. but then I figured since BTR publicly posted, instead of PM'ing, that it was fair game.
I also just bought a SEY-J neck pup from Dave Z, so I'm pretty psyched. Still need a third guitar, though, to put these damn things in. Anyone got one they wanna give me, like, for free and stuff??? :dance:

they were wound on the winder that now does just the custom shop stuff.
see i firmly believe that demand duncan now has for pups is so great that they cannot be as consistant as they once were.
back in the day MJ and another were winding just about all the pups themselves.
you can see this on all the JBJ's, DDJ's, JBL's, DDL's, DCJ's and DCL's
those initials(J or L) are on ALL the older duncans.
to me they have more "warmth" and overall mojo.
all my buds agree on this and we have done several A/B tests on them
a DDJ compared to a newer DD is much warmer and has a smoother grind.
I would post a clip but i firmly believe you have to be in the room up live to hear these differences.
and BTW, the older duncans have a different feel under the fingers?
