Wild Mountain Thyme

Here's a clip of Wild Mountain Thyme I recorded in a studio here in town with a neighbor singing. It fades out as the solo would come in, but we haven't recorded one yet.

I used an Alvarez from the 70s. Beautiful piece of spruce for the top. Mics were a pair of AKG C1000s. I'd like a bit more sparkle on the tone in subsequent mixes.

Thanks. Haven't decided what the solo instrument is gonna be...maybe bouzouki or mando.

There's a lot of talent up here in the hills and that's one of my very favorite melodies.

As far as a solo goes, I'd like to hear a little fiddle playing something slow, sweet and melodic.

It sure lends itself to fiddle. I might add a few pedal steel type bends on the Tele for the background, too.
