Wilde microcoil

They're supposed to sound very clear, and neutral, much like other pickups from Bill.
I read they are true single coils but very low noise, kinda like lace sensors.
Has anyone here tried them?

Re: Wilde microcoil

I installed a Tele set in my Malden Mozak about 6 months ago. They are one of the best sounding Tele sets I've played. They are clear like a good Tele pickup. But they have a lot of output. They are about as loud as a standard humbucker. They aren't noiseless. But they are very low noise. I have no problem recommending them. If I needed a set of Strat pickups I'd try them just because I like these Tele pickups so much.

Re: Wilde microcoil

Hmm made a clip with my 85 Navigator strat, on the clean clip I go from neck to bridge, all 5 positions.
Dirty I start from the bridge to neck instead.
Used my Fender super Sonic 22, no pedals or anything except the onboard reverb on the amp.
And it is just noodling stuff....and my recording preamp is not all that good either...but gives alittle impression of the MC pickups.

Got a set in one of my Tele's, and another one on one of my strats...
Big and clear.
Sounds great both clean and dirty.
Good output and lotsa life in them!

Sounds like what I'm looking for
Do they fit into regular pickup cover?

Man that sounds sweet!
Do you think it won't be too bright for a ash body, 1-piece maple neck strat?
