Wilkinson Tremolo

A few weeks back I dropped a borrowed Wilkinson in my USA Strat and played on it for a few days. I fell in love, and am trying to find one for my permanent possession. The problem is there are many models, and I haven't the slightest clue as to what is what. Does anyone have any experience to offer on the Wilkinson Trems?

BTW these are my upcoming plans to complete my current strat,

Wilkinson Trem
Sperzel Locking Tuners
ABM Adjustable Height Brass Nut
Hotrails Bridge - Bridge (Installed)
Vintage Rails - Middle
Lil 59 - neck
Push-Pull Knobs for coil tapping
Pearloid Pickguard and Gold Hardware to complement 3-Tone Finsh

And to top it off, a new Levy's Leather Strap

Re: Wilkinson Tremolo

Hey Curly, I appreciate the quick response! Did you have to enlarge the cavity for the tremolo, or was it as simple as a drop-in. I see that Warmoth only has one model, but other sites offer all wilkinson and even the Gotoh-Wilkinson trems. Some are drop-ins for USA Strats, whereas others require some mods.

Re: Wilkinson Tremolo

If yours is an American Std strat, the one they sell thrpough Warmoth will be a drop in replacement.

Re: Wilkinson Tremolo

I LOVE Wilkies. I'm still debating on whether to get one of those or just stick with my Floyds for what I'm doing, which is Satriani-type work with Vai-ish slides with a hint of Beck in there.
