Wilkinson VS100N = AWESOME!!!

So not too long ago, I bought a Gotoh Wilkie from CaughtLikeFire here on the forum. I had faught for a long time with the 2 point fender trem on my American Deluxe strat and no matter what I just could get it to hold tune (even with the slightest flutter of the bar).

I installed this and after taking a couple of days to set it up and dial in the tension the results are nothing short of incredible. With the Sperzel locking tuners that came stock on this guitar, I can pull off just about any whammy trick and the tuning just doesn't budge. Under crazy use it doesn't hold as well as my original floyds will, but it's a hell of a lot better than the stock trem.

I've noticed an increase in sustain and a more full (less plinky) sound when compared to the stock trem as well.

I'd recommend this upgrade to anyone with a strat equipped with a 2 point trem. Even without the incredible deal (Thanks CLF) I'd gladly pay the full price for a new one after using it.

Makes me wonder why Fender just doesn't bite the bullet and use these trems instead.............

VSV400, the modern version of the 6-screw Wilky.

After I first installed it (and had her a full setup) didn't need to re-tune my Strat for a MONTH!!!
Yeah, the bigger steel sustain block certainly has a big impact in both tone and sustain as well :)
