Will altering the height of the pup's help?

I've got a wicked sound on both of my semour duncan pup's but i notice that the lower strings tend to overpower the lighter strings when i'm playing chords or picking separate strings while using a 'non muted open chord' - will altering the height of the pup's help to solve this or possibly altering the height of the poles in the pup's help the lighter strings to cut through the lower strings?

Cheers

It could, but you should also try adjusting the pole pieces, if that's a possibility on your pickups.

Definately! Try lowering the bass side of the pups to balance everything out.
