Will Hot Rails fit in my old Charvel?

Hey there,

First let me say thanks for all the help. This forum has basically taught me how to solder and do all the stuff I do with pickups.

I have a 1990 Charvel 375 Deluxe that I'm modifying. It used to be HSS, now it's HSH. I am dying to put a rail in the middle, but my Charvel's routing doesn't have the "notch" that today's single coils seen to require. I have seen Hot Rails online where the pickup wires come out of the extra notch piece of plastic, and I've also seen rails where the wiring comes directly out of the pickup, which looks more rectangular. When I order one, is there a certain model that I should order so I get the one where the wiring comes directly out? If you need clarification, here's a picture from back before it was routed to HSH.

Thanks.
Craig.

The new Rails pickups should fit fine in that route. I've got an older Hot Rails and Cool Rails in my 650xl. I actually shaved the route a little bit to accomidate the lip on the pickup. Had I to do it all over again, I would have trimmed the pickup or ordered it without the lip. The new design of the Rails pickups should eliminate that.
