If you like buying back up tracks and such, will ray has taken the lead guitar parts out of his Mojo Blues CD.
It's probably the best blues/jazz back tracks you'd ever want to hear. I'm not talking the normal crappy, quickly laid down stuff you normally find, but this is Will's CD with just the guitar removed.
I had the Pro Reverb up at the office today with the Godin LG90 and had the mojo blues cd cranked up. Just righteous.
You can order it off his website.
Man, today, i was just nailing it. I'm not being too humble here, but my lead skills are mediocre at best. I've been nothing but a rhythm player since age 10. but today, man, today, I was just flying all over the fretboard. I'm pretty good at hitting the right notes in a blues scale, but my speed is always an issue. I can "feel" it and that counts a lot for what I play. But today, not only was I hitting the right notes, with feeling, but the speed was there for the first time.
I can't tell you how excited I am by this. This is just one of those moments where everything lined up perfectly.
Check out the Mojo Blues CD. it's good stuff.
