$1200 is fair these days...I saw a nice clean one a few weeks ago actually sell for $1600.

There was one for sale about 5 years ago in Oxford, MS at a little consignment shop for $699. I should have picked it up but I was in school and not working at the time so I just didn't have the scratch. I'll keep an eye out for ya.

$1300 to 1700 is the going rate today...it might drop down again soon but I wouldn't bank on it...I wish I'd bought one when they were $600.
If you want the tone (or very close to the tone) and can live with the tremolo look into the Port City Twelve amp...it's more or less a brown Princeton in a 1x12 combo set up w/o tremolo and an added deep switch on the face that gives it a little more thump at low volumes.
Stock they have a Mojotone greenback clone and sound rather nice...nice tag board construction just like a vintage Fender and quality parts. They run about $1200 new and I;ve seen the combo (there is also a head) for less than a grand used...

I'm walking distance from Norman's Rare Guitars. I'll go in and smack him around for ya. Maybe he'll come down to $1100.
Norman gets the best of the best. He's got a 65 Super Reverb down there that looks like he just pulled it out of the box in 65.
