Wireless... again...

I've decided I'm fed up with my Nady UHF-4 not working properly, and I'm going to get rid of it and buy one of two wireless systems instead.

My two options I've looked at, for around the same price ($330 CAD), are both UHF.

- Shure PG14 Performance Gear Guitar Wireless
- Audio Technical 600 Series Freeway Frequency-Agile Wireless

Both come with bodypack transmitters and the cables I need.

I've heard that Shure is very reliable, and a bit better known than Audio Technica. Any recommendations, cautions, preferences? It will be one of these two systems for sure, other options are out of the league. And before anyone asks, no I don't NEED a wireless, but I'd like one .

I've been using an Audio Technica system for about 3 years now and I've had zero problems with it. Sound quality is excellent, and I've had absolutely no drop-outs that I can remember. I recommend the AT, but haven't had the need to try out the other systems. The AT has been working great from day 1...

I swear by my Shure ULX-S. I have it in my rack with the rack adapter/front side antenna mounts and it has worked flawlessly for 5 years.

The Shure PG14 is ok but their diversity systems rock.

I've got one of Shure's "The Guitarist" line. Dunno the exact model number, but its a UHF diversity system, and it works pretty well.

Its pretty much a live-performance-only kind of thing with me though. It doesnt sound as good as one of my fatsoflex cables, but it's a great boost to a performance.

Always keep an extra cable on hand just in case, though

IIRC the Shure page says their PG14 is diversity. There's also the PGX14 that's $200 more but is higher-end... I'm looking at an auction on eBay for the PGX14; seems promising.

I've also heard about Sennheiser... I'm looking to spend no more than $350 CAD before tax or shipping, that's why I have the options I listed initially.
