Im thinking about getting a VHF wireless system for my guitar.
Now which models in particular should i look at.
Shure, Nady and AKG, would they be good option?
Looking to spend $1000 New Zealand.
Thats about $700 US .

Cheers for the help guys.

Shure. Great sound quality. The belt clip can come loose if you move around too much, but that holds true for many wireless systems.

I have the Shure ULX system. It retails at $599 USC but it works as advertized. I've used it in some fairly harsh environments for RF gear and I've never had a drop out or anything else from it, just killer tone coming out of the speakers.

I agree w/germ.

I have the AKG SR60, which costs a staggering $800, but it's only wireless that doesn't destroy my tone live!

I have. It's very, very good. My singer uses it, as well, with a Sennheiser mic.

I have one question about the "Bug", it only has a aa battery inside 1.5v, does it lose any signal strength compared to the usual 9 volt transmitters??

No, no signal strength loss, but the battery dies fast!! Expect to change it out after 2 hrs of practice ... and always put a fresh one in right before a gig!!!
