If your really looking for a good system don't try to go cheap. I bought a cheap Nady for $100 and it's awful. If that's what you really want get a nice one.

I strongly suggest the 1400 Series of Audio Technica. I own 2 of them and they're in my opinion, the best system made for the price.

Shure UT14 The Guitarist Wireless system...it's the standard.

Spend money. The ones that list for more than $400.

I have tried Nady, shure, and audio-technica models in the under $500 range in the last 6 months, and I was not pleased with any of them.

When the old tax return rolls in I will be buying that top of the line Sennheiser and see what it has...

Don't use them Cord all the way!!!!

I thought the same for more than a decade but an almost lethal dose of electricity completely changed my view last summer. Bad grounding = approx. 100V electric shock = dislexia, 2 months of nerve recovering, slaughtering headache, and the thought that even with such a rumbled nerve system I'm lucky because I still got a second chance. With a decent wireless, that 10% tone loss is infinitesimal compared to the all-round effects to an electric shock. In the studio it is not wise to use them but if you play gigs, a wireless is a MUST.

I'd recommend Shure equipment, the "T" series are nice workhorses. They are solid, simple, extremely reliable and the tone loss is absolutely acceptable. They have a frequency agile UHF system in the higher range that is identical if not better sounding than my best cable.
