Wiring Diagram

I need to get a wiring diagram for my strat here, it's a bit different than usual set ups, otherwise I'd be able to figure it out myself.

dimarzio pickups, single, hum, hum (neck to bridge) 5 way YKE switch, single volume and single tone pot.

Position 5- (closest to the bridge) Full bridge bucker.
4-slug coil of bridge pickup and closest coil of middle humbucker.
3-full middle humbucker.
2-neck side coil of middle humbucker and single coil.
1-single coil alone.

Humbuckers are both 4 conductor.

Thanks in advance to anybody that cleans this little gem up for me, and if you guys have any questions just post em.

Bryan

Re: Wiring Diagram

Please guys, if someone could take a few minutes and at least give me a written description of what I need to do it would be a great favour.

Re: Wiring Diagram

I pulled this one from the dimarzio site, and I'm wondering if someone could explain to me how to modify it for my specs, as well as clarify the exact switch wiring since the switch I have has 8 recepticals as well as another post coming horizontally off one end, which I believe is for a ground.

Re: Wiring Diagram

Just looking at this again. You're going to have to use a superswitch to pull this off. Is that do-able?

Re: Wiring Diagram

Is there any possible way I can rig it up with my 5 way in order to give myself any similar results? Or am I going to have to go with either a superswitch or 3 way?

Maybe we can get close. Let me think. :)

Re: Wiring Diagram

It looks like the closest I can get you with a standard 5-way, is fairly ordinary wiring:

This will give you:

1. Bridge full
2. Bridge stud coil with middle full
3. Middle full
4. Middle stud coil with neck
5. Neck

Its not ideal, but its one of the limitations of the standard 5-way.

Re: Wiring Diagram

You know what sir, I'd say it suits me just fine as of now, thanks tons for putting the thought into this.

Bryan.

Re: Wiring Diagram

well since that diagram does not really apply to my switch (I tried to make it work, believe me) I need an alternative solution. The switch runs 7 posts in a row with the ground pole coming off the very end of the base, parallel to the pickgaurd. I tried many different combos but all I could seem to manage was getting output on only the neck single. Nothing from my bridge and mid. If I could get someone to mull this over again it would help tremendously.

Re: Wiring Diagram

Are you sure its seven lugs, and not eight? If it is seven, you'll need to post a pic of it, or find a pic on the net so I can see what It looks like.
