wiring etc mods for a Strat

I'm considering mods for a typical Strat (3 single coils with 5-way blade switch)

What are the typical mods or ones would people suggest, please?

The following ones occur to me so far:

1. neck and bridge together selection option (toggle switch or push/pull)

2. a tone pot reassigned to the bridge pick-up

3. series wiring for faux humbucker sounds (toggle switch or push/pull)

4. one of the control knobs becomes a volume 'blender' control so that the bridge/neck pickup can be added in when the bridge/neck is not currently selected by the 5-way switch

5. a dedicated volume pot for the middle pick-up ('Memphis wiring' ?)

Anything else to suggest?

thanks

How about g&l legacy PTB wiring. It gives you a treble and bass control on every switch position. The S-500 version adds a mini toggle to get neck+ bridge.

I have a Fender Super Switch in mine with Ssl1, ssl1, and ssl5. Positions 1,2, 4, and 5 are the usual strat sounds. Poition 3 is neck and bridge together instead of the middle pickup by itself. Front tone is positions 1&2, bavk tone is postions 3,4,5. Love it!

Generally, I add the bridge pickup to the 2nd tone control, and use either a Super Switch or Megaswitch to get the 3rd switch position to be the neck and lead pickups together- I never use just the middle pickup. I also would change the pickups, and the Five-Twos are my current favs.

I have my Strat set up with SSL-2s & SSL-6T bridge; it's wired volume / master tone / blend with a push-pull on the tone to activate the SSL-6's tap.
