Hey guys, I'm relatively new to the whole guitar modding thing, so my ability to work out what wires go where on my own is pretty much nil.
I'm looking to maintain the S-S-S configuration of my strat, but give it a little more beef with some hotter pups and series wiring. I'm thinking SSL-3 in the bridge, something a tad less hot in the middle (quarter pound or custom mayhaps), and something vintagey like an SSL-1 or APS-1 in the neck.
How would I go about wiring up a 5 way switch (super switch I'm guessing) in order to get the following config:
1. Bridge
2. Bridge (tapped) in series with Middle (tapped)
3. Middle
4. Neck in series with Middle (tapped)
5. Neck
The thing is, I don't want any push pull pots or whatnot, so I'll be looking to automatically tap the hotter pickups in positions 2 and 4 of the switch.
I also have no idea how to wire up tone pots on a super switch, so which terminals would I solder them to in order to get neck and bridge/middle tones? (I tried the bridge having a tone of its own, but the lack of ability to tame the middle pickup got to me in the end)
If someone could draw up a diagram I would be super appreciative, it would be doing me a great help.
Cheers all :beerchug:
