Wiring for a Fender 'noiseless'

Hi,

I want to compare a Fender cobalt 'noiseless' with a Seymour Duncan STK4 - I managed to loan the Fender one from a pal - it has 3 wires - red, black and green, but but I do not know what to do with the green cable. The red + black measure 12.2 Ohm - the green cable measures nothing - I do not want to break it...

Soory for asking about a Fender pup...

Any ideas?

The green is a separate pickup grounding wire.

Thanks - strange that it is separate as I have no other choice than to ground it with the rest - but I am no expert...
