I wonder if it's deadly important to ground all inactive wires proparly?
Look at this example:
Humbucker 1 (split):
Black -> HOT
White, Red, Green -> GROUND
Humbucker 2 (split without connection to hot):
Black -> Nowhere
White, Red, Green -> GROUND
And this:
Humbucker 1 (parallel):
Black, Red -> HOT
White, Green -> GROUND
Humbucker 2 (parallel without connection to hot):
Black, Red -> Nowhere
White, Green -> Nowhere
What I wonder is if Humbucker 2 will cause any problems as hum or noise, or if it's completely dead when not connected to HOT?
I understand that it would be better if it would always be grounded, but if that can not bew done, is this a safe way to wire things?
